In keeping with our approach of Corporate Political Responsibility (CPR), the commitment of our company takes place in the political sphere. BPA supports the nonprofit organizations Atlantic Initiative and Respublica.

The Atlantic Initiative e.V. (AI) was founded in 2004 as an independent, non-partisan association by Johannes Bohnen and Jan Kallmorgen. For over 10 years, the association has been contributing to the strengthening of transatlantic relations and the foreign policy culture in Germany. Moreover, AI supports the next generation of decision-makers. These objectives are, inter alia, implemented through the organization’s own online think tank (atlantic-community.org), the blog "Germany's Agenda", numerous event formats, and the newsletter "Global Must Reads".

The Respublica e.V. was founded by Johannes Bohnen and his colleagues to contribute to bridging the participation and democracy gap between society and politics. The organization discusses and develops "tools", processes and services necessary for political participation.

The central project of the association is the first German Political Festival – inspired by role models in Scandinavian countries. There, citizens celebrate democracy (with live music, political poetry slams etc.) and work together through innovative formats to foster democracy. In short, the Political Festival wants to motivate citizens to participate in politics; it was held for the first time on 3rd October 2013.

"Mitdenken!" (“Think with us!”) is a format where BPA and its event partner ID Partners invite friends, colleagues, and clients from a diverse array of professional backgrounds to discuss pressing social problems. The last event with over 100 guests was held in November 2014 in cooperation with the Roland Berger Foundation at the BPA office, and dealt with the challenges faced by Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) in Germany.
